PRESS RELEASE

The Orchard Event Venue & Retreat recommits its 100-acre land to weddings and corporate events this summer

The vast pecan Orchard which serves as a beautiful backdrop for outdoor weddings resumes its operations to big group events this summer. With COVID-19 measures loosened in Texas, the event venue looks forward to creating dream weddings or perfect team bonding experiences again.

Fort Worth, Texas, 23 June 2021 - The Orchard Event Venue & Retreat (The Orchard), Dallas’ multi-award winning event venue, today announced that its rustic and elegant 100-acre land resumes operations for large group weddings and corporate events. The Orchard has three ceremony sights which include The Pergola, The Reception Hall & Plaza, as well as The Pecan Room to fulfil any couples’ unique wedding vision or any teams’ cohesion activities. Amidst the United States’ lifting of social distancing measures and mask rules, the retreat venue sets its eyes on the soar in demand for group events this summer.

The Pergola sits at the centre of the pecan orchard and is tucked beneath one of The Orchard’s 100-year-old pecan trees. In its backdrop sits a heart-shaped pond with a fountain and is surrounded by 100 acres of pecan trees. The second location within the orchard is the 7,700 square-foot Reception Hall that accommodates a capacity of 50 to 400 persons, decorated with an iron wrought door and crystal chandelier. With a floor-to-ceiling glass wall, it connects out to The Plaza, a covered 2,000 square-foot pavilion with cafe lights strung across the ceiling, a two-sided fireplace for cooler months, and ceiling fans for warmer months. The indoor Pecan Room is located off The Reception Hall and features four wrought iron chandeliers with crystal accents as well as a wooden accent wall.

“Planning a wedding during a pandemic can be stressful but The Orchard is ready to provide couples and their families with everything they need for a perfect wedding in our beautiful venue. The Orchard aims to give every couple the best service and experience as they make such a big decision in their lives,” said DeAndra Davidson, owner of The Orchard Event Venue & Retreat.

In March this year, Governor Greg Abbott lifted the mask mandate and capacity limits on all businesses in Texas. With more than 90% decrease in the 7-day average of COVID-19 cases since January this year, Texas is now ready to resume all activities in a cautiously optimistic manner. According to IbisWorld, revenue for the wedding services industry in the United States is forecast to return to an upward trajectory over the next five years to 2026 as operators accommodate both new and postponed weddings from the pandemic.

“It has been a tough year with many outdoor group activities being banned, but now that the social distancing restrictions have loosened, we’re more than ready to jump back into things and give brides and grooms their dream weddings this summer,” continued Davidson.

Aside from the three ceremony locations, The Orchard also offers lodging in the forms of The Lodge as well as Cabins. The Lodge is a 5,500 square foot home fully furnished with all the amenities of being at home, and can sleep up to 12 guests comfortably. The 15 cabins available for stay are located across the 100-acre property and are completely separate from the ceremony venue, giving guests an alternative to staying in a hotel. These accommodation options are also available for teams looking for corporate events bookings.

The Orchard is dedicated to providing the best venue and service to its clients, and has a 5-star rating on The Knot, is the winner of the WeddingWire Couple’s Choice Awards 2020, and is the Preferred Vendor of Brides of North Texas 2020.
